In 2010, Winiata and Anderson Sheetmetal was proud to donate stainless steel hand railing to the Memorial Cenotaph at the Levin Remembrance park located at the corner of Cambridge and Bath streets.
Winiata and Anderson Sheetmetal support independent community organizations. We were proud to donate to the Horowhenua Hunting Club, providing stainless steel interior bench tops.
Local Horowhenua hockey player Cathryn Finlayson was assisted by Winiata and Anderson Sheetmetal in 2009 to attend the Junior Hockey World Cup in Boston, America. After placing 10th place, she was selected for the national New Zealand Women's Black Sticks team.
Preserving for future generations, Winiata and Anderson Sheetmetal engineered and designed a historic time capsule. Winiata and Anderson Sheetmetal's Callum Hendon and Horowhenua deputy Mayor are pictured here in the workshop demonstrating the device. It is currently located at the Horowhenua Heath Centre, containing photographs, historical documents, surgical equipment and other items. It is planned to be opened in 40 to 50 years.
